First Bollywood movie to show Karva Chauth ritual

Karva Chauth is a one-day festival celebrated by Hindu women from some regions of India(especially northern India), four days after purnima (a full moon) in the month of Kartika.

On Karva Chauth, the married women fast from sunrise to moonrise for the safety and longevity of their husbands.

It has been celebrated in many Bollywood movies and Indian serials. But do you know when it was shown first time in Bollywood movie?

It is believed that “Bahu Beti” was the first Bollywood movie(starring Ashok Kumar, Achala Sachdev, Mala Sinha, Mumtaz, Joy Mukherjee and Mehmood ) to show the Karwa Chauth ritual.
